Description
This beautifully handwoven Kain Dastar originates from the Iranun community in Kota Belud, Sabah. It is traditionally woven using brightly coloured threads, often enhanced with metallic gold highlights to enrich the design. The Kain Dastar is worn as a ceremonial headcloth, also known as a sigah, and is commonly adorned during May in celebration of the Kaamatan Festival.
